Meet our Doctors
Dean Bolinger, DVM
Dr. Bolinger grew up in Chickashaw, Oklahoma. He moved to Washington in 1974, where he attended Washington State University for 8 years, first receiving his Bachelor of Science degree, and then continuing on at the Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 1982. He completed his residency in animal reproduction at Texas A&M University in 1986, and went to teach as an Assistant Professor at Mississippi State University, becoming a Board Certified Theriogenologist (animal reproduction specialist). In 1990, Dr. Bolinger returned to the Northwest with his wife and two sons, where he opened Blue Sky Veterinary Clinic in Bend, Oregon. He enjoys spending his free time with his family, scuba diving, riding their two horses, and hiking with their Pembroke Welsh Corgi, Einstein.
Chad Moles, DVM
Dr. Moles graduated from Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, where he focused on small animal critical care medicine and surgery. He practiced emergency medicine for two years in Houston, Texas, before his dream of living near the mountains led him to Central Oregon in the spring of 2004. Since moving to Bend, Dr. Moles has practiced emergency medicine at the Animal Emergency Center of Central Oregon, where he has recently assumed the position of Medical Director. He enjoys spending his free time hiking, fishing, camping, skiing, and brewing his own original beers. Dr. Moles joins our team here at Blue Sky as a permanent part-time associate.
Jared Nyman, MVB
Dr. Nyman grew up in Central Oregon, graduating from Mountain View High School in 1987. He received his Bachelor of Science degree at Oregon State University in 1992, and went on to study veterinary medicine at University College Dublin, National University of Ireland, graduating in 1998. He began practicing veterinary medicine in Bend in 1999. He enjoys spending time with his wife and five children, and loves fishing and mountain bike riding in the Central Oregon outdoors. Dr. Nyman recently teamed up with Dr. Mike Putnam to open Cascade Equine Veterinary Services, a mobile equine practice serving Central Oregon.
Janette Wells, DVM
Dr. Wells graduated from the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, and has been practicing veterinary medicine in Central Oregon ever since. She is a member of the Central Oregon Masters Swimming team and spends her free time skiing, running, and competing in triathlons. She also enjoys spending time with her two cats, Fuzzy and Harry. Of veterinary medicine, Dr. Wells says, "It's never dull, and it's always a challenge."
